Member Spotlight: Dan & Matt Staker 

This month’s member spotlight consists of two deserving members! Two of PCF’S favorite brothers, Matt and Dan Staker. The pair have been working hard for the past year and each day come in ready to work along with making their fellow athletes laugh.

How did you hear about Crossfit?

Danny- Social Media

Matt- I heard about it from my brother Danny [thanks dan for the referral :)]

 

What do you like about PCF?

Danny-The people

Matt- The people and atmosphere

 

One word to describe myself:

Danny- Unique

Matt- Willing

 

What have you achieved since starting at PCF?

Danny- I have increased my overall health and level of fitness

Matt- Since starting at PCF I have dropped 25 pounds. I also have increased my strength in lifting

 

What would you like to accomplish?

Danny- A sweet set of abs and biceps for the summer

Matt- I would like to drop down to 190 pounds

 

Something others might not know about me:

Danny- I absolutely love bulldogs

Matt- I would like to live out East eventually 

 

What is your favorite WOD or Lift?

Danny- My favorite is when I pick things up and put them down.

Matt- I would have to say The Kelly is one of my favorite WOD

 

WOD:

A. Double Overhand (no hook) Grip Deadlift, build to tough set of 3 T&G reps within 15 min

B. 12 min EMOM:

6 barbell lateral hops

3 T&G Power Clean – 1 set every minute- start light and go to maximum effort by the last few sets

C. 1 mile Group Run @ 70% effort (no measure)
